8:02 a.m. on Washington Street: harbor fog on the window, coffee going cold, and your launch note open on the desk.
Send a ship date, a deck, or just a hunch that your pilot data deserves a headline. Every note gets a reply from a human with kickoff times attached — not an auto-responder, not a sales sequence.
It lands in one inbox at 984 Washington St. Not a CRM, not a shared ticket queue.
same weekday
A reply from a person, with two or three slots for a 30-minute call. Notes sent after 4:30pm get read at 8 the next weekday.
the call
Thirty minutes on three things: your date, the number you’d defend to a skeptical reporter, and the outlet you wish would ring you.
two weekdays later
A written scope with a fixed price — press kit $2,850, outreach sprint $4,650/mo, full launch $11,900 — and a runway counted back from your date.
no drip emails. no “just circling back.” one reply, then it’s your move.
The view we write pitches to. On clear days you can see the breakwater.

getting to cape ann
by road
Route 128 north runs right into Gloucester; Washington Street is where you want to end up. Plug in 984 Washington St and you’re there.
by rail
The Rockport Line runs from Boston’s North Station to Gloucester — bring the laptop, it’s a good stretch for rehearsing your two-line pitch.
before you come
Call (978) 460-4979 first. On launch weeks the door can be shut for an embargoed briefing.
Email with DEADLINE in the subject line and your filing time. If one of our founders genuinely fits the story, you get a name and a number. If nobody does, we say so instead of pitching you sideways.
A two-line intro is plenty — copy the founder and we’ll take it from there. Early is good: we’d rather meet a team at t–90 than t–9, when the kit still has room to breathe.
Send the date you’re aiming at anyway. If the news isn’t there yet, we’ll tell you on the call and point to the milestone that would make it a story — rather than selling you a kit you don’t need yet.
